I’ve had some great days at the Nelo Summer Challenge. At the 10k ocean ski race I placed 14 and at the surf life saving competiton i didn’t get to the final. I wanted my results to be better, but at the same time I think this is my level at surfski for the moment. A huge thanks to Nelo and Andre Santos for putting this event together. It’s been an amazing event and the best surfski competition I’ve ever been to. Nelo has really managed to take it to the next level! Check out http://www.nelo.eu for pictures and video.

Wednesday, August 18, 2010 // Comeback?
I told a newspaper yesterday that I’m motivated for a comeback to London olympics. I also told him that i need to get some sponsors on the table before it’s possible to start training 100% again and call it a comeback. How can he miss the last part? There is no comeback if I don’t get sponsors, how hard is that to understand? So, in all the newspapers today it says I’m doing comeback…which at the moment isn’t decided.

150k in 2,5 days done! Did 58k today, again great weather with no wind. Found some motorboats to surf on the last 15k to Tønsberg. It’s very different to paddle a fully loaded seakayak, compeared to a light touring or surfski. I’m pretty sore in my shoulders and back. Looking fwd to sleep in my own bed and not in tent. Runar got some marks on his hands:)

Fantastic weather, sun from clear sky, got a little sunburned. No wind, paddled for 10h today. Runar is supringsingly fit after 3 weeks on vacation in Brazil, but will appreciate some motorboat wash riding tomorrow.

3 day trip from Arendal to Tønsberg, sun from clear sky, downwind and perfect waves. When not out to sea, surfing on the motorboats at 15km/h. Life is good!
