The team for the World Championships has now been named. Øyvind Sølberg is racing the K1 in Canada and he’s now training with the rest of the team ( Jacob and myself… ) here at Årungen. Hunting season is right around the corner and it’s fun to practice some shooting, in the picture is Øyvind.
Jacob and I will compete in the 4x class under the norwegian rowing championships this fall. We’ve never rowed before and we’ve teamed up with olympian rower Fredrik Bekken and Morten Gundro Adamsen. We had our first session this week and Jacob and I have a lot to learn… Hopefully there will be enough time, the competition is in mid september.

Back again at Årungen traningcenter with the team going to the Worlds….which is only Jacob and me. Maybe we’ll be a bigger team if some of the young guys/girls go fast at the U23 Europeans this weekend. At Årungen it’s all about training and having fun, just like being on a summer camp! The video shows when one of the light weight rowers is testing Jacobs kayak, falling inn is always funny to watch…
Next competition will be the World Championships in Canada from the 13th of August. I’ll race the same distances there as in the Europeans. Our 500m race last weekend was not good and we placed 9th, our worst result this year. I’m confident that we are a better 500m crew then that and I hope to prov it in Canada.
